whatever too lazy to thk of a title.

Oops! i just realised the previous post was my 100th post! Too bad i missed it, but who says i can't also celebrate my 101th post rite?? So, HOORAY to my 101th post! okay that was lame, whatever. so juz shut up.

So, i know i should have updated right after my first shift ended. but i didn't, for a few reasons:

i) i was sick. According to Amy ( a friend of mine who is also a qualified pharmacist), there has been this 'gastro' virus goin around. and it seemed like i was one of the unfortunate ones who had caught some of those nasty stuff. well, judging by its name, u should already have a good idea of what i've been goin thru the past few days. still don't understand? it's DIARRHEA followed by NAUSEATIC FEELINGS or vice versa. for me, i had diarrhea first, and then the nauseatic feeling came. i was already feeling 'uncomfortable' during work, i even had to go to the toilet to 'release' during work. thank GOD my shift was only 4 hours. i thought i just had a bad stomach but little did i noe, the nightmare didn't stop there. after i got home, i wasn't feeling well and i had to frequent the toilet like every 10 mins and stay in the toilet for 30 mins or so! NO KIDDING HEY! trust me, im not exaggerating at all! it got to the extent where i had to take 6 gastro-stop pills or whatever it's called. it was AWFUL! it continued like that till the second day. i hardly had any sleep at all, and whn i finally felt better towards the end after taking those pills, i still woke up once in a while because of the pain and wanting to go to the toilet. i know, poor me. and u know what the worst part is?? whn i told my friends who called or messaged me during that time what i was goin thru, THEY WERE LITERALLY LAUGHING AT ME! SUCH NICE FRIENDS I HAVE, HUH??? HMPH.

ok enuf abt that. next,

ii) my first shift was.. how should i put it. it was relatively easy, i mean, all i had to do was, taking the phone (iPhone, yes i got to play with the iPhone throughout my whole shift), explaining how to use it to customers, and playing around with the phone, showing the phone off and telling customers how great, how awesome, how amazing this revolutionary phone, widescreen iPod, and breakthrough internet device is. and watching customers go like " wow! that's awesome! " "wow! i gotta have one!" "hey mate, *talking to other customers* this thing is amazing!", and also, not forgetting their big-eyed, wide-mouthed facial expressions. lol. yeap. iPhone does have that effect on people huh. so basically, i didn't need to do much, juz tap here tap there, and putting a big wide smile on my face. sounds easy? yes, but whn i got home and called another demonstrator who was also working in Telstra Carousel, i found out that i wasn't doing my job quite correctly. Well, the thing is, i was told to just demonstrate the iPhone ONLY. But as a demonstrator, i was employed to be working under a campaign, namely 'Telstra NextG', which i mentioned before. My job is to promote Telstra NextG which includes the features such as BigPond, Foxtel mobile, Yellow mobile, City Search etc, which i totally ignored during my first shift. iPhone was just one of the highlights, it wasn't the main focus of my job. Well, after realizing this mistake that i made, i immediately wrote an email to my direct manager explaining why my report stated all other demonstrations with Telstra NextG as zero, nada. ( we have to submit a report stating how many demonstrations we have done and what sort of demonstrations we performed bla bla bla ). So, there goes my already-not-so-good-image-for-being-late-during-training. Sigh.. jia you la Caren!! don't let yourself look even worse!

that's my work uniform with the launching of iPhone 3G ( just first shift and i already have 3 different types of working uniform. What can i say, Telstra is a rich company )

anyway, lets move on.

iii) my SATC - SEX AND THE CITY marathon of course! i'm already finishing season 3, gonna move on to season 4 later. arggh! ANGRY! Carrie is so stupid lor! i totally agree with XiaXue! Aidan is like the perfect man! He loved her soo dearly and she go sleep with her married ex-boyfriend, not just once, not just twice, but multiple times! idiot or wat?? i noe i noe, it's just a tv show.
